The funeral service of a four-year-old girl whose body was found at home after her mother fell to her death from cliffs will be held tomorrow.
Keira Madden’s funeral service will take place at Felpham Methodist Church, Felpham Way, Bognor, at 3pm.
The little girl was found in a bedroom after her mother, Catherine Madden, 40, threw herself from a cliff-top 50 miles away in a suspected suicide on July 3 last year.
Police revealed at the time that a note apparently written by Mrs Madden, of Roundle Avenue, Felpham, Bognor, was found next to Keira’s body claiming she had drowned after slipping in the sea the previous day.
An initial postmortem examination on Keira proved inconclusive while one conducted on Mrs Madden confirmed she died from multiple injuries consistent with a fall.
Last month, after extensive tests and analysis, police said on the balance of probability Keira’s cause of death is likely to have been drowning.
