Traffic is queuing for two miles this morning in West Sussex.
A broken down lorry and two subsequent vehicle crashes has caused a lane of the A27 near Chichester to be blocked off.
Hampshire Police are dealing with the incident as it is close to the county’s borders.
However, a Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “At 7.15am two miles of tailbacks were reported on the eastbound carriageway. At 7.36am one lane was still closed.”
Police said the crash took place about three miles after the Emsworth exit and no one had been seriously injured.
