A man has died after his car collided with a truck on the A24 in mid Sussex.
Christopher Alderton, 30, died in Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in Haywards Heath a number of days after the crash which took place on the northbound carriageway of the A24 at Dial Post south of Horsham.
Mr Alderton had been in hospital with serious head injuries since the crash at 6.40pm evening when his blue Nissan Micra collided with a Renault recovery truck which was turning right out of Old Barn lane.
The 48-year-old driver of the truck from Worthing was unhurt.
Mr Alderton was from Green Acre, Great Waldingfield, near Sudbury, Suffolk.
Police continue to seek any witnesses to the incident. They can call 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Aquaria.
