A main East Sussex road is closed due to a serious crash.
The collision took place at about 11.45am near Beachy Head, Eastbourne, and involved two vehicles.
The A259 East Dean Road near the B2103 Warren Hill is currently shut.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "An elderly woman was seriously injured when the car she was driving was in collision with another car driven by a man on the A259 in East Dean Road, Eastbourne.
"Emergency services are at the scene and the woman has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
"The man in the other car and his male passenger are not believed to be injured."
