Masked robbers beat a shop assistant over the head before stealing a till.
Victim Eser Capar was alone at work in the Wine and Beer Store in Norfolk Square, Brighton, when the two men burst into the shop armed with weapons.
Mr Capar was hit over the head repeatedly as the men made off with the till.
Speaking yesterday, the 25-year-old said he was so scared he did not even know what weapon the men used.
Detectives are investigating the incident and are keen to trace a dark 4x4 vehicle parked outside the shop which is believed to have been involved in the January 17 robbery.
