An elderly woman has died in a car smash.
The 80-year-old, of East Dean, was involved in the crash yesterday.
She was driving her silver Toyota Yaris westbound along the A259 East Dean Road, Eastbourne, near Beachy Head, at 11.45am when it collided with a black VW Golf travelling in the opposite direction.
The woman was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital by air ambulance following the collision.
The male driver of the other vehicle, aged in his 20s, was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital with minor injuries.
