A 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of causing the death of the pedestrian in a road crash has been released on bail.
The girl, who lives in Haywards Heath, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the collision in Gravelye Lane, Lindfield, near Haywards Heath.
An elderly man died at the roadside after being struck by the car the girl was driving at 11am yesterday.
The girl is due to answer bail at a police station in Sussex on March 23, police said this morning.
