I cannot believe that The Argus would publish the photo of someone hand feeding a fox on what appears to be their patio or decking (Letters, January 25).

What a stupid thing to do.

It is exactly this kind of behaviour which leads to urban foxes no longer fearing or respecting humans but seeing them as the hand that feeds, and then entering homes in search of more hand-outs.

If you really must feed the foxes in your garden (and bear in mind that the food which attracts foxes will also attract the local rat population) for goodness’ sake feed them in a quiet secluded bottom corner of your garden, well away from humans.

Surely even the fox rescue people would not recommend or condone such silly behaviour.
