With reference to the letter regarding the late delivery of a Christmas card from Glasgow (January 20), I can beat that. A card postmarked December 7, 2010 was sent from Mile Oak to Southwick and arrived on January 18 2011. The distance as the crow flies was less than a mile.
GF Kendall Manor Hall Road Southwick Kind cabbie I would like to thank the taxi driver who found my car keys and returned them to me in person after he happened to remember taking my husband to the garage (after the car broke down).
He has not only spared us a lot of money but also a row or two (I hadn’t told him yet).
