Hastings Pier campaigners have announced the firm of architects chosen to help rebuild the fire-ravaged structure.
Hastings Pier and White Rock Trust said they had interest from more than 50 firms before choosing dRMM Architects, based in London.
The pier was destroyed in a blaze in October, which burned for four days.
Yesterday HPWRT said the firm will need to get approval to carry out emergency repairs on the structure, including clearing the fire-damaged debris at the far end of the pier.
The trust has applied for £8.5 million of lottery funding to pay for the rebuild.
A consultation on the future design of the pier will be held on March 12.
