Only a few lines today. I went to a great public health conference led by East Sussex County Council. There is so much we can do together to increase not only life expectancy but also the quality of life IF public, private and voluntary services work together.
I've had lots of ribbing about my challenge, which I will take in good heart as long as they sponsor me.
On the train back to Brighton, trundling through the Ouse valley with the sun shining on the downs and the river, I thought how lucky we are to live in Sussex, without doubt the most beautiful part of England.
Tomorrow I will be cycling through Hyde Park and round the back of Oxford Circus - uh oh.
