Miles so far:

Walking: 24
Bike: 91
Bus: 18
Train: 796
Total: 929

The sun shone on Saturday. I walked five miles and travelled five miles by bus. Did some errands, watched Brighton and Hove Albion romp to a 4-1 win at home against Hartlepool, and went out for supper with friends. Sunday was a day of rest because I have a lot of cycling to do this week - uh oh.

Despite the avalanche of Valentine cards this morning, I still managed to set off by bike for the station and catch the 7.39am to West Worthing. (Okay, I only got one, but it was very nice and I had tulips too. Aah.) I cycled to the office, various meetings including one which felt positive with our regulator Monitor. I made some phone calls, wrote a board paper for meeting in public next week, and then it was back by bike to the station and into Brighton for a meeting with Amanda Fadero, newly appointed Sussex PCT cluster chief executive. That's her with me and the bike - you might have heard her on Radio Sussex last week?

I cycled home in time for the Archers. Tomorrow morning, whatever the weather, I am cycling to my office on the other side of Worthing, doing a full day's work and cycling back again in the evening - 37 miles in total. There will be plenty of time while I am pedalling to think about why I am doing this.

So it's an early night for me... If you would like to read more about the children I am helping, please click HERE Thank you.
