Joan Ruddock MP, who chairs the all-party parliamentary group on compassion in dying, is asking all of us who want to see a change in the law to urge our MPs to sign Early Day Motion No 1494 on assisted dying.
We feel thoroughly frustrated that when Joel Joffe's bill was debated in the House of Lords, the Church mobilised huge opposition to what was a very restricted proposal with massive safeguards against abuse.
It is time the views of the majority were heard and MPs are urged to support this proposal.
