Two anti-war campaigners were staging a roof-top protest at a weapons factory today.
The pair used a ladder to climb 40ft on to the roof of EDO MBM Defence Systems in Home Farm Road, Brighton, at 6am.
EDO designs, develops and manufactures weapon carriage and release systems and is an approved supplier to the Ministry of Defence.
The campaigners, from Brighton-based Smash EDO, claim the company's products have been used by the Israeli army in the bombardments of Gaza and Lebanon.
One of the roof-top protesters, identified only as Martin, 31, said they had unfurled a 10ft-long banner on the front of the building stating: "16 children killed in Qana, Lebanon. EDO profits from murder."
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said they had officers at the scene as a monitoring presence.
A Smash EDO spokeswoman said a "noise demonstration" using pots, pans and drums will be held at the site from 4pm to 6pm today.
