Jonny Cornthwaite writes that the Brunswick development at the marina will "finally achieve the plan envisaged for it so many years ago"
(Letters, July 28) .
Well, so many years ago, nearly 30 in fact, I was a reporter on the Sussex Express living in Sutherland Road and wrote a double-page feature about the opening of the marina.
As far as I recall, the plan envisaged then was to accommodate boats and provide an interesting habitat for marine life in and around its caissons.
I don't remember any talk of skyscrapers.
