It happens once in a blue moon and has left people waxing lyrical.
And luckily Argus photographer Eddie Mitchell was on hand to snap the whole of the supermoon.
This stunning picture was taken from the end of Worthing Pier looking out towards Beachy Head.
He said: “It was a really amazing sight. There was a group of us huddled together at the end of the pier all snapping away. I’ve never seen the moon looking that spectacular in my life.”
Eddie took the picture using a 600mm lenses with a 1.4 extender using an iso speed of 1250 and a shutter speed of an 80th of a second with an F8 aperture.
