Half-a-million passengers are expected to pass through Gatwick Airport this weekend, between tomorrow and bank holiday Monday.
Saturday will be the busiest day with about 130,000 passengers.
Top destinations include Malaga, Palma, Dalaman, Alicante, Faro, Corfu, Tenerife, Mahon and Orlando.
Airport authority BAA does not expect security restrictions to cause additional delays or cancellations during the weekend, one of the busiest of the year.
Travellers are advised to arrive no earlier than three hours before departure. Hand luggage is still restricted to one small bag and all cosmetics, liquids and gels must be packed in hold luggage.
