David Bangs says of the Wild Park travellers, "their impact was very small indeed" (Letters, August 22).
Nonsense.
Try telling that to residents in Coldean kept awake night after night by the noise of generators on the site, having their planned activities in the park disrupted and coping with the mess left behind.
The councillors for the area and I believe rather than providing for the "travellers' economic activities"
as he suggests, taxpayers' money would be better spent on measures to deter future invasions - such as have been put in place at Hollingbury Park - and in protecting the legitimate economic activity of the cafe proprietor.
