Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of the murder of missing father Gary Hampson.
Officers were last night preparing to question the 48-year-old after forensic teams found blood belonging to Mr Hampson in his garage.
Mr Hampson, 42, vanished after picking up his ten-year-old daughter from school and dropping her home in Brighton on January 6.
Three days later his mobile phone was switched off.
The doting father, from Old Shoreham Road, Portslade, ran Kops Cars in Little Western Street, Hove.
Detectives from Sussex Police's major crime branch spent last week searching the business for evidence and yesterday announced that blood had been found but no body.
