Katie Price suffered minor injuries after the car she was travelling in struck two wild horses in Argentina.
Miss Price, also known as Jordan, was in a car driven by her boyfriend Leandro Penna, 25, when the accident happened.
Both animals were killed, with one breaking through the windscreen of the car.
The star, 32, told the Daily Mirror: "I have absolutely no idea how I wasn't badly injured."
A spokesman said he understood the pair, who were visiting Penna's family, had suffered severe whiplash and minor cuts.
"She's fine. They are both shaken up," he said.
Price's children, Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and Princess Tiaamii, three, were with Peter Andre, her former husband, at the time.
