Two fishermen had to be rescued after drifting a mile and half out to sea in their dinghy.
The men were returned home safely by lifeboat crews but only managed to catch one fish.
An RNLI Shoreham lifeboat was called at 2pm yesterday to the stricken dinghy east of the King Alfred leisure centre in Hove.
Lifeboat crews said while fishing, the sea had become choppy with the freshening winds and the craft had no sails. The fishermen called the coastguard and the lifeboat towed the dinghy back to the King Alfred with the men and the solitary mackerel on board.
