VISITORS to Brighton who have missed the Volk’s Railway (Adam Trimingham, The Argus, April 20), which has only just started running services, need not worry.
They can take a number 12 bus for a scenic ride to Eastbourne, and then catch the Dotto train which has been running for several weeks already.
The service runs continuously along Eastbourne’s beautiful promenade for several miles from Holywell at the foot of Beachy Head to the Sovereign Harbour – a real marina not dominated by retail sheds.
A day ticket costs around £6 and the train is used by young families, pensioners and people of all ages who appreciate that Eastbourne is a high-quality resort which values its many visitors.
Come and try it, Adam. There’s life outside Brighton!
