REGARDING your article “Diabetic Paramedic Is Moved To Desk Job” (The Argus, May 14), I was shocked that a paramedic of 25 years has been treated in this way by South East Coast Ambulance Service.
What makes the situation worse is that the individual states he has been waiting so long for them to conduct a risk assessment, he fears they will never take action.
The Trust has surprisingly now been able to conduct this risk assessment, and has been told of the outcome before the individual concerned.
This in no way complies with proper procedures and is an appalling way to treat a long-standing member of staff.
