IN RESPONSE to Shirley Gooding’s letter, (The Argus, May 2) and a reply (May 10) concerning low-frequencies, the sound she reports is likely to be a new tunnel being bored by a water company.
Chalk and materials are being transported by trucks on a rail line, and I believe this is the sound she can hear.
At the Rottingdean end, we have this sound 24 hours a day.
