A vulnerble man was found wandering the streets in a pair of hospital pyjama bottoms after he was discharged with no money and no phone.
Robert Adams was taken to hospital by ambulance on May 3 after collapsing at Cornfield House care home, in Cornfield Road, Seaford, where he lives.
The 51-year-old, who has severe learning difficulties, was later discharged from Eastbourne District General Hospital but neither his family nor the care home were told.
He was found by chance 40 minutes later by a relative who drove past him as he walked through the Hampden Park area of Eastbourne – 11 miles from home.
Neale Adams, Robert’s brother, said his brother had a lot of difficulties and had become very unwell following the death of their father who he was very close to and who he would visit every weekend.
