CHRIS TODD’s letter about the Preston Barracks site in the ward I represent on Brighton and Hove City Council (The Argus, May 12) highlights its importance.
The site has huge potential for housing, and for the city’s economy, but, as I pointed out at the last council meeting, there are currently a number of small businesses employing local people based there.
When final decisions are made about the site, if that involves possible relocation of businesses there now, the council must do all it can to help see their futures are secure.
