A family of three and their pet dog managed to escape a blaze which swept through their home.
The blaze at a chalet bungalow in Western Road, Lancing at just before 9.15pm last night caused extensive damage to the home.
It is believed that the blaze initially started with an electrical fault in a fridge before spreading through the house.
A crew from Lancing fire station and two crews from Worthing tackled the blaze for more than two hours.
