Firefighters were called to a fire on a derelict industrial site.
Two crews from Worthing and Shoreham attended the fire in the disused recycling centre in Halewick Lane, Lancing at around 3pm today.
Firefighters said the fire had been started deliberately in the wall cavity of the abandoned warehouse but it was put out before any serious damage was done.
