A light aircraft crashed just outside Gatwick this morning.
The plane was on its way to the Aviation Museum north west of the airport when it was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after 9am.
The aircraft landed on its wheels.
The pilot and two passengers were reported to be unhurt.
Firefighters from Crawley were among those called to the scene but a spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no action was needed.
Gatwick Airport declined to comment. A spokeswoman said the airport was unaffected and was not the plane's destination.
