A 32-year-old woman is to appear in court today charged with the murder of her three-year-old daughter more than seven years ago.
Lesley Dunford is accused of the murder of Lucy Dunford at their family home in Pelwood Road, Camber, on February 2, 2004.
A Sussex Police spokesman said that she was arrested yesterday at her Devon home and brought to Brighton where she was charged last night.
He added: "The charge was authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service following an inquiry by the Sussex Police major crime branch following referral of the case back to the police by the Sussex Coroner on the 29th January, 2009."
Dunford, now of Rydal Mews, Windermere Close, Exeter, Devon, is due to appear before Hastings Magistrates' Court this morning.
