Seven cars were damaged by fire in a suspected arson rampage.
Firefighters were called to a series of car fires in the Langley Green area of Crawley within two hours this morning.
Crews from Crawley fire station were first called to two cars alight at the rear of the Samuel Johnson pub in Langley Parade at just after 2am.
Further fires were reported within a mile of the first incident in a car park in Stagelands, in Medlar Close and Denchers Plat all before 4am.
A police spokesman said: “We are working with the fire brigade who are unable to establish whether the fires were started deliberately.
“Fire investigation officers are at the scene at the moment.”
Firefighters said all seven vehicles had been written off in the incident.
