In response to Jay Stewart's complaints about getting a free bus pass (Letters, August 31), so what if your birthday falls on a Saturday? Tough.
Up to April this year, my generation of senior citizens had to pay half fare for our travel.
Since then, it has been free, which is excellent. Yet you have the nerve to complain you will have to wait an extra week for your free travel.
Get a life. It is your misfortune your birthday falls on a Saturday, not discrimination.
By the way, my pass arrived in three days.
