I often get low back pain. I notice you said in The Argus that osteopaths and chiropractors are the best people to sort this out. So is there no point in going to a doctor when I next have a bad back?
Well, a doc can give you an NHS "sick note", which an osteopath or chiropractor can't. Also, yourGP can prescribe anti-inflammatory pills, like diclofenac, which you wouldn't be able to get from a chiropractor or an osteopath. But personally, when I get a back problem I always go straight to our local osteopathic clinic for expert manipulation - which usually helps a lot.
