A dog walker was bitten on her legs, hands and neck trying to save her Spaniel from two Dobermans.

The woman was walking her two dogs, a Spaniel cross and a Tibetan Terrier, in Broad Oak Park in Bexhill on Friday morning when she noticed a couple walking in the park with two tan Dobermans who were not on leads.

Both the Dobermans turned on the Spaniel and when the woman tried to intervene they turned on her.

She screamed at the couple to get the dogs off her and the man did so but the couple then hurried off without offering to help the injured woman.

Another man in the park heard the woman's screams and came to her aid. She was taken to the Conquest Hospital and treated for bites to her thigh and puncture wounds in her hands and neck.

She was very shaken by the attack and has been unable to work due to her injuries.

Police would like to identify the owners of the Dobermans, who were in their late fifties or early sixties, and anyone with any information is asked to contact them on 0845 6070999.
