Building on the success of its recent Shoreham Harbour boating station project, Hove and Adur Sea Cadet Unit (TS King Alfred) is now seeking new adult members to supplement the management committee as the unit prepares to embark upon a project to construct its own headquarters building.

Since it's formation in 1942 in Davigdor Road, Hove, the unit has had to move several times.

The most recent move took place in 2000 with the closure of HMS Sussex.

In order to avoid further disruption and ensure the long-term viability of the unit, the management committee has decided a headquarters building of its own would be the best solution.

While two local companies have promised support, the committee would be particularly interested to hear from any current and retired professionals from the building and construction industry and anybody else who wants to put something back into the community.
