A man was repeatedly hit over the head with a bottle on a beach.
An 18-year-old Brighton man was hit on the head with a bottle several times until it smashed leaving him with deep cuts to his head which required treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Following the incident in Kemp Town, Brighton, at around 3.40am on Saturday two men from London, aged 18 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
They have both been released on police bail pending further inquiries until November 14.
