I FEEL I need to add my view to the issue of stopping parking on the pavement in Elm Grove (The Argus, October 1).
Why is parking on the pavements suddenly so wrong? And why are so many people with prams on the war path, when they seem to own at least half of these parked cars? I do agree that wheelchair users have difficulty in crossing the road, but there are places to actually cross.
As a walker and a driver, I can appreciate there are fewer places to walk and drive, but we all have to adapt. Some of us cannot expect the bread buttered on both sides. Introduce parking meters, and everyone should be relatively happy.
