A council looks set to scrap the role of chief executive.
Hastings Borough Council has announced its considering the move to remove the post of chief executive along with four heads of service.
The proposal is part of a major cost-saving reorganisation that could save the local authority around £400,000 a year.
A final decision will be made later next month.
