AN ARTS venue is asking for 200 people to donate £100 each to help save it from sclosure.
Crime writer Peter James and Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, will be the first to donate when they launch the appeal to save Shoreham’s Ropetackle Arts Centre on Friday, October 14.
Mr Loughton said: “Ropetackle is one of the best examples you will find of an enterprise where members of the community have made such a difference.
"Ropetackle is run by a team of unpaid but committed trustees and more than 100 volunteers who have shown how an arts centre can become a focal point of the community.”
Ropetackle chairman Martin Allen said: “If our appeal succeeds we will have overcome our crisis.”
