A FORMER shop worker from Sussex is celebrating after being given a share of her son’s £101 million lottery jackpot.

Jean Smith, 69,confirmed the life-changing news, telling The Argus she had been awarded a portion of winner Dave Dawes’ huge windfall in the EuroMillions draw.

The exact amount Ms Smith has been given is not known.

When asked if she had been given the money she said: “That’s right.”

The former greengrocer worker, of Bexhill, then accepted our congratulations.

It is also believed Mr Dawes, 47, and his wife Angela, 43 – who pledged to make 20 of their closest relatives’ millionaires after winning the money in the EuroMillions draw – have given money to Mr Dawes’ brother and sister-in-law, who also live in Bexhill.
