TWO postmen were targeted by a laughing yob in a car.

The Royal Mail postmen were carrying out their deliveries when the attacks occurred.

In both cases a car pulled up alongside the cycling postmen and slowed down.

In the first incident the front passenger failed to push the postman off his bike.

He was more successful during the second incident.

This time the front passenger leaned out, took hold of the postman and then pushed him off his bike. He grazed his hip and elbow.

Both incidents took place in Kings Road, Horsham, shortly before 2pm on Friday, October 14.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “What these individuals clearly disregard is the potential danger this act can result in with vehicles being involved in a collision by lack of concentration of the driver or the cyclists falling and potentially going under the vehicle.”

The suspects’ vehicle was described as an older-style Volkswagen Golf which was very dark blue in colour.

It travelled off in the direction of Harwood Road at the roundabout.

The front passenger is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, with fair, short hair, wearing a light coloured T-shirt. He had a muscular build.
