After three days of voting, in which 282 votes were cast, the results were:
- Yes, the station needs more shops and food and drink outlets. Plus the new entrance will be useful, 193 votes, 68.7%
- No, there are plenty of shops at Brighton Station already, only big chains will be able to afford the rent and the new entrance isn't needed , 78 votes, 27.8%
- Don't know, 10 votes, 3.6%
