A man has been arrested in connection with and attack on a teenager which left him disfigured.

The 18-year old victim was in the Coalition Nightclub, Kings Road Arches, Brighton, when he was assaulted at about 3.30am on November 27.

The man, from Lymington, Hampshire, had to have emergency surgery after his jaw was broken in three places during the unprovoked assault.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, and was transferred to Eastbourne District General Hospital for surgery. He was discharged from hospital on November 28.

A 30-year-old man, from Portslade, was arrested on suspicion of the assault. He has been released on police bail until January 29 pending further inquiries.
