A pensioner who went missing while visiting his family has been found.

Wilfred Ralph was visiting Eastbourne when he disappeared yesterday.

The 74-year-old, from Ashbourne, Derbyshire, suffers from low level dementia due to Alzheimer's and was last seen leaving the Oban Hotel, King Edwards Parade, at about 8am.

Police started a search for Mr Ralph but at about 7pm on Thursday he walked into Tesco in De la Warr Road, Bexhill.

Concerned staff contacted the police. It is not known how Mr Ralph got to Bexhill but he was unharmed and has been reunited with his family.
