Dublin-born comedian Andrew Maxwell has been busy of late: Seen in Channel 4's King Of Comedy, HBO's comedy festival in Vegas, Montreal's Just For Laughs and Edinburgh.
Last year, his show suffered when the London bombings rendered material unusable, creating a rare blip in his critical acclaim. This year he has turned his mischievous eye to the less controversial subject of night-time.
With an innate ability to get himself into sticky situations and a raconteur's gift for telling the resulting tales, he has lots of material to draw on, with a string of international nocturnal adventures, from Qatar to South Africa.
Winner of Chortle's Comedians' Comedian award, the cheeky chappy's new show is no doubt deserving of vocal approval - but in Edinburgh he forbade applause and cheers in favour of humming. You have been warned.
- Starts 8.15pm, Sunday, October 15. Tickets £12 (£11 concs). For more information go to www.paramountcomedyfestival.com
