Self-confessed adrenaline junkie Alyse-Louisa Sprat is competing in the Miss Sussex beauty contest to tick off another ambition from her bucket list.

Miss Spratt from Hove is taking on the challenge by competing in the Miss Sussex regional final in a battle to make it through to the coveted Miss England final.

The 23-year-old daredevil has previously run the Brighton Marathon as well as taking part in bungy jumping in Thailand, snowboarding in the French Alps, surfing in Australia and snorkelling with sharks around the Great Barrier Reef.

She said: “I like to try my hand at everything at least once, so I can say at least say I have done it.

“When I realised that I only had one more year to take part in Miss England before I was too old, I knew I had to give it a go.

“I have never taken part in a pageant or done any modelling before so this will certainly be a new experience but I am totally up for the challenge.”

Finalists will compete in the final of Miss Sussex, organised by Front Models, in the Revolution bar, West Street, Brighton on Wednesday, March 28.

Entrants will take part in four rounds including an interview, a sportswear round, a daywear and an evening wear round.

The winner will then qualify for a place in the Miss England grand final in June to be in with a chance of representing her country at the Miss World final later this year.

Applications are still open to enter the Miss Sussex regional qualifier of Miss England.
