The Standards Board decision on Councillor Barnett's conduct will be published in the Evening Argus this week, over seven weeks after it was taken.
She was virtually cleared of any wrong-doing last year on 20th December 2011. She was found to have breached the local Code of Conduct in that she had brought her “office (as a councillor) into disrepute.” But the Panel unanimously decided to impose no sanction whatsoever.
The decision was minuted soon after on the Council's web-site, but the law requires for a summary of the Board's decision to be published in at least one newspaper circulating in the area "as soon as reasonably practicable."
The full decision is on the Council web-site.
