A man feared he would be shot when a robber threatened him in the street in Brighton.
Police are investigating whether the criminal was armed with a gun when he stole a phone from the man in Upper Lewes Road early on Thursday morning (March 1).
The 23-year-old victim was approached at about 1.30am by a black man with his hand in the pocket of his coat.
The thief said: “Look at what I’ve got.
“If you don’t hand over your phone then see what happens.”
The suspect was about 5ft 11in, between 25 and 28, and was wearing jeans and a dark green jacket with a hood.
After the victim handed over the phone, the suspect ran off towards Viaduct Road.
