Dan Lawson is taking on the Brighton Marathon course eight times back-to-back to raise money for charity.

The 39-year-old is raising money for Albion in the Community, the charitable arm of Brighton and Hove Albion.

Mr Lawson, who works for the charity will pound the streets on the Friday and Saturday before the main race on Sunday April 15.

All money raised will go towards the charity's Oscar programme which educates thousands of youngsters in youth leadership and conflict resolution in Mumbai and at the Football Club of Canacona in Goa, India.

Mr Lawson completed the course four times last year. He said: “I’m not really doing anything different in preparation for the eight marathons. I get up early most days and just absolutely love it. As soon as you tell yourself you’re going to run 200 miles you can do it.”
