Last year, Cllr Barnett was virtually cleared of any wrong-doing when she tried to re-direct travellers to parks in wards with Green councillors.

On December 20, she was found to have breached the local code of conduct in that she had brought her “office (as a councillor) into disrepute.” But the panel unanimously decided to impose no sanction whatsoever.

However, the law requires the council to publish its decision on a local newpaper. It did so on in The Argus on 16 February, at the cost of £519.54 plus VAT.

The full decision was also published on the council website in December.
